AJHQ is now introducing a new program called "National Geographic Kids and Family Team" Ask your parents before joining this club.

This week's Blast to the Past goes back to the old Animal Jam Dens! These dens were HUGE! There were bridges, ladders, and levels to climb, run, and play. They were set up so you enter on a bridge and you go inside a giant wooden mansion. Of course back then you could not change dens because there was only one type!

Today is the last day to vote on the Expedition Poll, some where on the right column--> 

Just a fun fact, yesterday I needed to renew my membership and I got a snow leopard with the 10 diamonds...

I love snow leopards! Now the only Diamond Shop animal I need is the lion. I need a lion ^-^

"Now, you may be wondering "Who is Cami?" Cami is a young girl diagnosed with Leukemia. This is a type of cancer that lives in the blood or bone marrow and creates an increase in too-young white blood cells. There are many types of Leukemia. Before Cami was even born her dad, Pat, picked out the frog toy for her. She named it Froggy and has slept with it every night since she was born. Her dad works for Smart Bomb, so he later created Cami's Frog and sold it on Animal Jam during beta! Here is Cami in her beta den with her frog."  --Animal Jam Spirit

Blast to the Past

This weeks Blast to the Past is about the Medical Center. I know it is kind of a sensitive topic because a lot of jammers loved the old Medical Center. If you don't know the story it goes like this...

Way back when, the sol arcade used to never exist! There used to be a pillow room, and a medical center where the pillow room is now. And now with the new land came an empty building with a band-aid cross. A lot of jammers got excited for a new Medical Center...

So will the abandoned building be a new Medical Center? We can only wait and find out :)

This week's Blast to the Past is about the top jammer menu. Do you notice during the beta days, it looked a little different. First off, what in Jamaa is the shovel and pickax for?!? The Mail, Buddy, and Gems Icons look the same. The News and Achievements look the same, but they are different colors. The book I think is a Journey Book. I thought the Journey Book always came out later, but it might be just books to read. Do you like the icons back then, or now?

Blast to the Past is a segment about the Animal Jam Beta/Old days. This weeks Blast is about animals.

There may be a lot of animals that you can purchase today, but in the beta days, there were 6 main animals. Those six animals were wolves, pandas, bunnies, koalas, tigers, and monkeys. There were also no such things as "members." All of the animals were for everyone to buy.

I wonder why they are called "Real" Musketeer Boots instead of "Rare"

Now it is time for my favorite segment.. a Blast to the Past! This one is specifically about old Jamaa Journals!! Look how they used to look like....

This Jamaa Journal was from the first Day of the Phantoms (Halloween) in Jamaa! It shows how the shamans(Alphas) had a lot to do with Jammers back then before they left.
